When building storage in a basement, you have to consider the odds of water penetrating the basement. The condo where we were building basement shelving is dry so it offers great storage options. Our customer requested shelving along 2 walls, and wanted them deep (2 ft) which meant built-ins versus shelving you buy and assemble.
