Let’s Celebrate Earth Day 2010

Small things can add up to big changes …

Join the one billion people in 190 countries who are participating in activities April 22, 1010. Make a commitment to focus on efficient energy use, renewable sources of energy and reuse/recycling to protect our resources. You can make this world a better place to live. Here are just a few ideas:

Walk or ride a bike everywhere Plant trees and vegetables Use tote bags in place of disposable bags … reuse! Use less water and turn off lights Go for a walk and pick up trash

Today we are being bombarded with so many messages, it is hard to sort through the clutter.

Saving Water is Up to You

Save the Environment … or any type of Green message Save Energy … most often combined with saving Money

Many of these messages are valid as Americans use (waste?) more natural resources per person than any other country. While many of the sponsors of these messages have their own agenda, what they are trying to accomplish collectively is a change in the mind set of the average American.

First celebrated in 1970, Earth Day (April 22nd) is meant to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth’s environment. It’s been almost 40 years since a small movement started to focus on saving our environment.  Today Go Green initiatives are starting to become visible in many ways, and people are more aware of changing weather patterns and a growing population.
